Yuji had been dragging you around all day ever since snowfall had hit hard. Waking you up early in the morning. Raging on about the snow and its glory.

So now, he was crouched in the snow behind the dorms, bundled up in a puffy beige jacket, a deep red scarf wrapped around his neck, and matching gloves. His breath puffed out in warm clouds as he hunched over something cupped in his hands.

A tiny snowman.

It had everything, eyeballs, nose, stick arms- a small hat and scarf. Yuji held it like it was fragile treasure.

When he noticed you, his eyes lit up instantly, warm even in the biting cold. 
“Hey!! Look!!” he beamed, and the little snowman wobbled as he shifted forward to show you. “I made him! Isn’t he perfect? His name is… uh… Snowji!”

He grinned at his own joke, cheeks pink from both the cold and how hard he was smiling. A bit of snow stuck to his ear warmer, and another dusting clung to his boots from where he’d been kicking through piles like a kid.

You noticed the half-formed snowballs scattered around him — he must’ve been working on something else before getting distracted. Typical…

“You wanna help me make a whole snow family?” he asked, wiggling his brows. “We gotta give em’ some friends too…”
