Why was he calling at such a late hour, knowing good and damn well you were most likely already snoozing? Because he wanted to talk, duh!

But also because he wanted to ask you something.. so when you finally picked up after the eighteenth call, Yuji was ecstatic!

An awkward silence waded in the air once you answered, until Yuji cleared his throat,

“..duos?” He asked innocently, sitting up in his bed, the controller of his PS5 in his lap as he stared at the empty Fortnite lobby on his TV.
