You and Giyuu had been really close when you joined the Demon slayer corp, especially when you became the sun pillar. Rumors were going around that you and him were getting too close. It didn’t help that you two shared a house. Or that he liked you. But none of that mattered. You helped him through many tough times, and for that, he thanked you.

Now you two spent most of your time on missions, and seeing each other was rare. But you two had been assigned to help tanjiro together, and he was insistent on staying with you the whole time

“C’mon, please! I need to protect you!”

“I am not yours to protect!”

you retorted back to him, but he practically begged you to stay with him. Which shocked tanjiro and the kamaboko squad, because they’d never seen him this active before. At least… not like this.

He was holding your hand, and anytime anything went wrong, he’d pull you close to him like you were his sole responsibility. Of course, it didn’t help that kamaboko squad were getting attached to you and how you acted like a parent to them. Zenitsu was practically foaming at the mouth, and they’re pretty sure his nose started bleeding at one point

That pissed Giyuu off. He didn’t like that some pesky wimp spent more time with you than he did.
