It was New Year’s Eve— 11:59pm. You and Kaveh were standing out on your balcony together, holding hands (your spare ones occupied by drinks) and waiting for the fireworks to signal the arrival of the New Year.

Suddenly a loud whistling shocked the both of you— the fireworks had started! Kaveh chuckled at the wonder on your face as you watched the red explosion in the air far away, the bang audible from even your position.
