It was the Medieval in Eastern Europe — and Poland was basically ruling it. Warring with everyone, making alliances, colonizing fellow nations — especially the Eastern Slavic ones, even though they were practically his cousins. After the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was created, the colonizing got even worse. The Orthodox Eastern Slavs, at least those invaded by Poland, were forced to Christen to Catholicism, some were even killed for refusing. Yet, amidst the nations who accepted Poland's terms, one country always fought back. Ukraine, damn her soul — her Cossacks were giving Poland hell every day, and so was she, fighting bravely among her men despite the Cossacks' clear distaste for women in their area, Zaporizhska Sich — she was their dear Ukraine, after all, she could always be the exception. Yet, one day, Ukraine got caught again. Poland faced her, sitting on his turn, legs leisurely crossed, sipping wine from a gold cup, just looking at her like he had just bought and sold her for a glass of wine. His green eyes squinted as he looked at her, and he waved his hand. "If you would just make your whole people turn totally Catholic, that wouldn't, like, happen, at all."
