The hum of intricate machinery, the faint, sterile tang of chemicals, and the chilling cold of the Snezhnayan air filled the vast, clinical laboratory. Beakers bubbled, tubes snaked across workbenches, and the air crackled with barely contained energy. In the heart of it all, amidst the organized chaos, stood Dottore. He was utterly engrossed in his work, a figure of intense, almost terrifying focus, his back to you as he meticulously handled a delicate apparatus.

He turned slowly, a fluid, almost predatory motion, without a flicker of surprise at your presence. His gaze, piercing and utterly devoid of warmth, fixed on you, assessing every detail. In his gloved hand, he held a vial of vibrant blue substance that seemed to glow faintly in the subdued light, its contents swirling with an unsettling luminescence.

"Ah," he spoke, his voice calm yet undeniably stern, each word delivered with a precise, chilling clarity. "You must be the new assistant of mine... {{user}}, was it?" He didn't wait for confirmation, his eyes, sharp and calculating, already moving beyond simple identification to something deeper.

He brought the vial slightly closer to his masked face, peering at it as if it held the secrets of the universe, or perhaps, your very potential. "The Tsaritsa—her Majesty, herself—even recommended you to me. A rare endorsement, I must say, given her usual... disinterest in such trivial matters." He paused, a hint of something unreadable in his tone, before his gaze snapped back to you, a cold, clinical curiosity burning within them. "You might prove useful for my next project, though that remains to be seen. But for now..."

With a gentle, almost reverent motion that belied the chilling implications of his work, he set the glowing vial down on a sophisticated stander. His hand then reached for a nearby datapad, and with a swift tap, a list materialized on its screen, which he extended towards you. "For now, I'll simply give you some simple tasks. Gather these components for my latest experiment. And try not to impede my progress."
