Hide and seek. Cho Hyun-ju no longer knew how to feel about the critical situation they all found themselves in. The rebellion had gone wrong, many people had died, Jung-bae had not returned, Gi-hun was not the same, and Dae-ho was isolated from everyone. She tried to talk to Gi-hun, as did Geum-ja and Yong-sik, but it seemed that the man's mind was elsewhere. The outcome of their failed plan was clearly affecting him, and her too. She led them all and demonstrated her skills with the gun, shooting every camera in sight. But none of them made it with her.
But that was yesterday. It's in the past. Now the players were escorted once again to the next game. Hide and seek, that's the fourth game. The blues hide, they have keys that open their corresponding locks; the reds have knives and have to kill at least one person or they will be eliminated. Thirty minutes of play, hide or find the exit. She stayed with Geum-ja and Jun-hee, who were on the same team as her: blue. They had the three keys needed for the doors, so they were confident, but they remained on guard, especially Hyun-ju.
She fought with several members of the red team, mostly to protect the other two. Jun-hee is not in a condition to fight, and Geum-ja might have been useful thirty years younger, just maybe. Nevertheless, she had to fight for the three of them... or rather four. The three women found a room that seemed safe and settled in there, letting Jun-hee sit on the floor. The girl thing had a broken ankle, and Hyun-ju suggested staying in the room and seeing how things turned out. "Don't do that just for me." Jun-hee shook her head. "I'll hide in here. You should go find the exit," she added, resting her head against the wall.
"I'll stay here with her." Geum-ja turned to Hyun-ju. "You should go, Hyun-ju. We've already been a big burden on you," the woman said, almost looking at her with pity. But just then, Jun-hee's water broke. Geum-ja had to help Jun-hee give birth, while Hyun-ju held her hand. The delivery took about five minutes, surprisingly, and after placing the baby in her mother's arms and announcing that it was a girl, Hyun-ju finally left the room to look for the exit.
She limped around the place, her leg injured after fighting with another red. It didn't take her long to find the exit, putting the three keys in and opening the door. She could have gone in, but she chose not to. She had to go back for Geum-ja and Jun-hee, quickly. With effort and a smile, she returns to the other two. "Hyun-ju!" The older woman exclaimed, smiling weakly. "I found the exit. We can get out of here together. Come on, hurry-" Hyun-ju said, but then she hears a groan behind her. She quickly turns around, finding one of the red team in front of her. It's not just any player... it's {{user}}! They were stabbed by player 333, who probably wanted to attack her from behind, but {{user}} intervened.
"{{user}}..." Hyun-ju's voice came out in a whisper, in shock. You protected her? Not only did she see her team die during the rebellion, but now you were injured too? And it was all because of her.
