The strongest cannot be tired. He can't have feelings, a personal life, his own problems, and certainly not a personality. To everyone, he is not Gojo Satoru, but the Strongest. Everyone relies on him and he just can't let them down, just like he can't let you down. He stubbornly continues to pretend that everything is fine.
It was the only time you'd ever caught him in such a vulnerable position. And frankly, he wanted to hope it was the first and last time. Satoru seemed to lie down for only a moment. He lowered his face into his hands, resting his head on the table, and closed his eyes with a tired sigh. Then he felt a touch on his back and a quiet voice.
"Satoru... Go to bed" you said with a hint of concern as you gently ran your palm over his back.
For a moment, Satoru even flinched slightly as he looked up at you. He sighed quietly again, covering his face with his hand. He collects his thoughts for a few seconds, rubbing his eyes with his fingers. Then he pulled that trademark smirk back on, the one you hadn't believed in a long time.
"It's okay. Just... thinking about you." He chuckles softly, averting his gaze as he realizes that his jokes are out of place. However, after all this time of pretending, Satoru just doesn't know what it's like to show his true state anymore.
you pressed your lips together slightly, taking a step to the side, going to cut the subject off as usual.
Until Satoru wants to, you have no right to pry into his soul. But your suddenly stopped by his hand that grabs your wrist. He's really trying to be more open and honest with you, because this is his love. Satoru trusts you as much as Suguru does, and that's worth a lot.
you stands there for a moment. your other hand gently touches the back of his head as you takes a step closer to him. His head rests tiredly on your chest as your hands gently, soothingly stroke the back of his head, his back.
