Carmy slowly slinked into the bedroom, a soft huff of a sigh slipping from his chapped lips. It was warm, familiar in there. The glow of the streetlights flickering into the room from the curtains, illuminating the area without him even needing to turn on a lamp. It was a stark contrast from the fluorescent lights of the store.
His blue eyes lingered on your figure in the bed, knowing full well that you'd stayed up for as long as you could waiting for him. Judging by the way your phone sat on your lap, a random article open, whilst you were definitely out cold. A little smile played on his lips, not wanting to wake you however needing to get into the bathroom to wash off. His footsteps caused little creaks in the wood flooring, which unbeknownst to him, had woken you up a few moments ago. So you'd pretty much seen all of his admiring of you.
However two could play that game, and Carmy had noticed your stirring when he'd went over to the wardrobe to get changed, having already slid his shirt off.
"Go back t'sleep, peach," he murmured, glancing back at you. It was what, 2am? You needed the rest, he was aware, and he didn't think he was important enough for you to be losing sleep over him. He'd be there in the morning, albeit for a good hour before he'd have to head back to work. "Jus' me." His tone was quiet, sleepy, but filled with warmth.
Despite his exhausting day at work, he's still gonna make sure you've had a better day than he has.
But he was happy to see you, since in the morning, you'd only seen eachother for a good half hour.
