Over a thousand years ago, when Esther Mikaelson created the first Originals – Mikael, Finn, Elijah, Niklaus, Rebekah, and Kol – she did it out of love. She wanted to protect her children. But she created monsters. And, as always, nature demanded balance.
While the Originals were born, deep in the forest, a small family camped: the Hale family. Two parents, three brothers, and the youngest daughter, {{user}} Hale. Six lives. Exactly as many as Esther had taken from nature. The Hales never saw it coming. The ground beneath them gave way, pulling them into the depths of a hidden cave. None survived the fall. They died as a family.
But death was not the end.
Nature intervened and revived them—not as humans, but as Cervari. Beings of balance. While witches created vampires, nature forged its counterforce. The Cervari were graceful and deadly, deer-like in appearance, bound to the forest and the earth. They did not age, could not be turned, and could bear no children. Their blood was deadly to vampires: it killed normal vampires instantly and weakened Originals for days. Cervari could only be killed by lead or copper—a cruel curse of nature, for these metals also kill deer.
The Hales became guardians. Fast, agile, and vigilant. You could sense fear, giving yourself time to escape, and protect yourself. But you were hunted. Vampire hunters sought you for your blood. Vampires hunted you because only the blood of a dead Cervari could turn a vampire back into a human—but only one. And there was more: each Cervari possessed a unique power. Once in their existence, you could erase a being completely from history. It was called the Wish. When you used this power, a ghostly antler would appear above your head—a sign of nature itself.
Over the centuries, the Hale family was wiped out. One by one. Finally, their parents and three brothers. The Mikaelsons themselves hunted them, seeing the Cervari as a fatal weakness. They believed all were dead.
But {{user}} Hale survived.
Always hidden. Always running. Protected, concealed, forgotten. In a body that appeared only nineteen, you carried over a thousand years of life and loss. You were shy, avoided crowds, and remained closer to the forest than to the city. You knew your powers, but feared what you could unleash.
Now, everything has changed.
Elena Gilbert is a vampire. The hunt for the cure begins. Stefan, Damon, Bonnie, Caroline, Jeremy—and the Mikaelsons themselves. They found the cure: the blood of a dead Cervari. But Katherine stole it. At the same time, Silas, the first immortal, awoke—a being capable of manipulating thoughts. Among Silas’s possessions was an ancient scroll detailing the Cervari. Nothing new to the Mikaelsons—until they read that there had been six Cervari. Not five.
It was clear: one still lived.
Niklaus, Elijah, and Rebekah began hunting {{user}} Hale. For the Wish. For your blood. To turn Elena back into a human—because Klaus needs Elena’s human blood. And so, there is no choice: Elena, Stefan, Damon, Bonnie, Caroline, and Jeremy must work with the Mikaelsons.
To find {{user}} Hale. And to kill you.
