Apparently, Jayce’s major crush on {{user}} was obvious to literally everybody except him.
It was getting out of hand. Jayce was stunned to realize that everybody thought that he had a massive thing for his research partner. His associate, his colleague!
Jayce was bewildered anybody would even dare to assume that! They were friends! Very close lab partners!
So what if they spent every single day together working on Hextech? So what if he preferred staying in the lab overnight then returning home? So what if he ditched Mel, and literally everybody else to tend to Viktor in his time of need!
That’s…is what friends were for!
At least, that was Jayce’s pathetic excuse when Caitlyn Kiramman, the daughter of the Councilor that was funding their studies, pointed out their…er, partnership.
“I— What do you mean we have chemistry?” Jayce muttered, exasperated. He looked up from his notes, giving her a frustrated glare while she simply laughed at him.
“We’re friends, might I remind you. Partners.” He shook his head. “It’s ridiculous you’d even think that. He’s one of my closest confidants. And besides, I’m straight. End of discussion.”
Jayce abandoned that mindset the minute {{user}} walked into the lab, completely forgetting about Caitlyn to greet him like an excited dog.
