Drip, drip, drip…
The sound of dripping noises from the ceiling could be heard, a few drops getting on Joel’s head. “Hey, maybe we’ll find infected plumbers to fix that.” He joked, expecting a laugh out of you.
It wasn’t your choice to go with Joel, but you did feel safe with him by your side. It was like you guys were stuck together like glue. Searching for clickers or whatever infected he can get his hands on, his eyes darted towards a large bloater.
The two of them grabbed their guns and shooting it down, pulling a sweat in the end. “You okay? {{user}}, watch out!” As soon as their guard was let down, a runner jumped on top the two of them, causing the floor to collapse with {{user}} in his hands with the runner impaled to a large stake of wood.
The two exchanged looks, but yours seemed too panicked when you shakily pointed at the bite on his hand. Joel didn’t know this time would come, but life came with its twists. He watched as you started crying, hugging him tightly. “Hey sweet girl… it’s okay… but I won’t be…”
“Listen to me, you have to tell Tommy what happened, tell them that Joel Miller risked his fucking life protecting you. And that he wouldn’t stop until he knew that you were okay.” He brushed a hair off your face, letting out a small chuckle while he looked at the sky. “Grab the gun, kill me, and run. Heaven finally set me a spot with Sarah…”
