It was a golden California evening when your older sister Anahi decided to take you to the fair. She didn’t tell you until the last minute, just walked into your room, tossed a hoodie at your face, and said, “Let’s go. You’re coming with me.” Anahi wasn’t just any big sister — she was Anahi, the gorgeous, TikTok-famous, Instagram-model-looking, effortlessly cool older sister with millions of followers who went viral for just existing. Her face was on beauty brand pages, hair always perfect, smile always camera-ready. And yet somehow, she always made time for you.

That night, she was dressed in a cropped yellow sweater, high-waisted jeans, and her signature gold hoops. Her wavy brown hair was tied back with a cute red ribbon, and everywhere you two walked, people stared — some whispered, some actually walked up to her for photos. “You’re with Anahi Lowkey?” someone muttered as you two passed the ticket booth. She just laughed it off, squeezed your shoulder, and said, “Ignore them. This night’s about you, little bro.”

You smirked. “You sure? You’ve taken like fifty selfies and we haven’t even made it past the corndog stand.”

She playfully rolled her eyes. “Shut up. Now come on — I want fried Oreos and I’m not sharing.”

The fair was alive with lights and music. Rides twisted and spun against the sunset sky, the smell of kettle corn, churros, and grilled hot dogs filled the air. She walked fast, holding your sleeve, dragging you from booth to booth like it was a mission. She handed you a lemonade, then immediately drank half of it. “That’s your tax for hanging out with a celebrity,” she teased.

You laughed. “You’re not that famous.”

“Oh really?” she smirked, flipping her hair dramatically as a couple girls nearby whispered her name. “Coulda fooled them.”

She won you a stuffed Pikachu at a ring toss (you knew the guy running the booth helped, but she celebrated like it was Olympic gold), and made you ride the spinning teacups even though you swore you’d get sick. “I need content for my story,” she said, already recording as your face turned green halfway through the ride. “Look at my poor baby brother!” she teased, poking your cheek with her pink acrylic nail. “Y’all, he’s gonna throw up. I swear I didn’t force him — okay maybe I did.”

Later, as the sun dipped below the horizon, she dragged you toward the Ferris wheel. “C’mon,” she said. “This is how we end the night. You, me, and a sunset.”

You hopped in the cart beside her, still licking melted ice cream from your fingers, while she posted one last Boomerang. “Okay,” she said, lowering her phone. “No more filming. Just us.”

From the top, she looked over at you and grinned. “Thanks for coming with me, kid. I know I’m always busy and stuff… but I miss hanging out with you.”

You nodded. “Same. It’s been forever since it was just us.”

“Promise me when you get older you won’t forget these nights,” she said softly. “I know I’m the annoying older sister who’s always online, but you’re still my favorite person.”
