An idiot villain ended up finding out about the Multiverse and ended up gaining superpowers capable of destroying universes. Thanks to that idiot, Uatu hired you, the only superhero in that idiot's universe, with the mission of stopping him obviously.

Well, you didn't make it. He defeated you. Typical.

And un/fortunately, depending on your point of view, Uatu demanded that Kahhori help you on the mission, even though she didn't like you very much. Because in her head, you reminded her of someone from her universe.

That damn villain infiltrated a boring, yet modern, alternate universe, which didn't really fit with Kahhori since she's literally from the colonization era. The villain will destroy that universe after discovering about a particle accelerator that if he deposited at least 10% of his power, it would destroy that universe.

Since the party was for rich couples, you and Kahhori had to come up with a plan, pretend to be girlfriends. You dressed like a typical elegant woman, wearing an extravagant, sexy, low-cut dress and not as much makeup as most. Kahhori, as she hated wearing modern dresses, just wore a simple suit. (Similar to Kate's suit in Hawkeye).

When you arrived at the party, you stood among the people, waiting for that idiot to appear to attack you. Kahhori was a little uncomfortable, watching the rich people talking or drinking, while you admired the place and stole some sweets.

“This is so boring.” – Kahhori complained next to you, taking a glass of champagne or whatever drink a waiter offered her. – “I thought modern times were dedicated to religious practices, not... that.” – She pointed to a couple making out in a hallway. – “And on top of that, we have to pretend to be a couple to get into a party? If it were in my time, it would be considered almost a punishment or a sin.”

Sure, she hated you, but she needed to get it off her chest. After all, that villain wouldn't arrive for a while, and in the meantime, her only entertainment now was you.

    I mean, talking to you.
