You were sulking in a corner, in a corridor of the school halls. Quiet sobs, as you slid to the floor and leaned against the wall. It hurt too much..a bruise was developing, again, and this time, you just cried as they all walked away.
Meanwhile, Alexander, your worst rival so far, made an excuse and was walking along the halls as he caught a glimpse of you. He stopped, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Though, it was short lived as he heard soft sobs.
For some reason, he clenched his fists. That made him mad for some odd reason.
School ended fairly sooner. The day's events made you feel sick. You absolutely did not want to continue school, not like this.
Home was quite far. It had already become late..the sun was slowly setting as you heard someone running, towards you. You ignored it, only to have someone tap your shoulder. Surprise, it was Alexander. He had a smile on his face, which was rare for you to see, as he never smiles at you.
You noticed a small wound on his cheek, and his lips were bleeding, making you a bit concerned.
"Heading home, sweetheart?"
Stupid nickname again. You sighed softly as you kept limping away, your concern fading away. His smirk slowly disappeared. He expected you to say something, anything. He expected you to fight back, like usual.
