Chris loved when you’d come around with Verno, your slightly younger brother. He was infatuated with you in a way. Your pretty hair, your sweet eyes, your laugh.. everything. He was just as happy to see you today. He was playing cards with teddy and Gordie up in the treehouse, then there was a messy knock on the trap-door, Verno. The boys teased him before opening the door, he climbed in and you followed. Chris smiled some and just watched as you found a place to sit.

“nothing to do today?” he asks with a slight grin, looking at you patiently.
