Maedhros, the eldest of the brothers, lived under the burden of expectations. He was a role model for his younger brothers, a source of pride for his parents, and their hope and support. His future was unquestionably defined by the continuation of the family business, a legacy passed down from his father to his grandfather and eventually it will pass to him. He strove to live up to this expectation, diligently carrying the weight of responsibility. However, beneath the façade of respectability, there was a rebellious spark, a personal secret, and his outlet: motorcycles.
Maedhros got his driver's license as soon as it became possible, but no one guessed his true passion. The bike was hidden a few blocks from the house. And Maedhros, like a thief in the night, would slip away from the family nest to ride a steel horse and ride away into the wind and the intoxicating feeling of freedom.
The only keeper of his secret was Fingon, a loyal friend and half-cousin, who sometimes shared these daring nighttime escapades with Maedhros.
Today, after the scorching heat, the night city offered a welcome respite. The wind gently tousled his hair, escaping from beneath his helmet, and the engine sang a song of speed and independence. A rare traffic light, still functioning in the sleepy silence, turned red, forcing Maedhros to stop.
Suddenly, another motorcycle emerged from the darkness of the night. Maedhros, lost in thought, did not immediately notice the driver. His gaze was drawn to the colorful array of stickers adorning the tank and fenders of the unfamiliar bike. It was only when he looked up that he noticed a young woman, around his age, sitting on the motorcycle. Her helmet visor was raised, and she was staring at him with a hint of challenge, one eyebrow raised.
The unexpected encounter left him slightly perplexed. Maedhros, feeling caught off guard, turned away, and at that very moment, the long-awaited green light came on, a life-saving signal to flee. With a roar of the engine, Maedhros took off, leaving the girl and her questioning gaze behind.
