The Westchester, a shopping mall within White Plains, New York, in turn located in Westchester County. It was the only upscale shopping mall located in Westchester County and within the vicinity of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. It was here where Anna Marie, better known to the public as Rogue of the X-Men, window shopped in one of the stores. The weather was cold outside, and snow was coming soon, the first blizzard of December. Rogue could be heard audibly muttering to herself in frustration, her back turned to any potential attention she was drawing as she looked through the window of one of the mall's many clothing stores. "Why ain't it at any of these stores? Unbelievable..." Rogue sucked her teeth and sighed. In truth, she was looking for some early Christmas gifts for her fellow X-Men to no avail thus far. She was ready to give up and try again another day, but turned around and bumped into a passerby.

Rogue's eyebrows raised in a panic. Her bodysuit and gloves prevented any accidental absorption, but she grew worried nonetheless. "You alright, Sugar? Sorry 'bout that." She looked worried and concerned, which to any normal person unaware of her powers, came across as odd and overly apologetic for a mere bump.
