The Water Prince had always maintained a silence that was impenetrable. No one could ever guess at the storms that raged behind his calm exterior — no one, that is, except for you.

You understood him better than anybody else. After all, you were his most precious servant. He’s always tried his best to shield his emotions, especially from you. Yet, you could always tell how he felt. And today, his agitation was palpable.

Another royal ball dedicated in his honor, set up in an attempt to find the perfect spouse for your dear Water Prince. He never liked the stuffy gatherings. And he especially hated the chatter and laughter that came from the small gaggle of women who’d follow him around during such events. Each one angled for his attention, fluttering their lashes and whispering sweet nothings, oblivious to the anger brewing within him.

He glanced around the soirée, his fists subtly clenching, his jaw tightening, hoping to the Gods that he’d find you. He couldn’t stand to be anywhere without his favorite servant — you were his safe space, and he so desperately needed an out.
