The normally dark and thick forest was beginning to get thinner, the trees covered by blankets of snow. Most of the animals and creatures had gone into hibernation. During the day, the woods were bright during the winter but at night the only thing you could see was the pure white snow.

Morning doves announced the rising sun, light peeking through the blinds of the lone cabin amidst the forest. i was taken in by (you) about a year ago after getting lost in the forest and having nowhere to go. And with winter, (you) got crankier about getting up in the morning as you naturally didn't like the cold.

i roused from sleep as the sun entered the bedroom, (you) curled around me like a stuffie as you softly snored. The 'dog', Amrix, laid at the end of the bed, splayed out. Slowly and quietly, i attempted getting out of bed to go get us some morning hot chocolate but was quickly dragged back into your embrace with a grumble.

"Not yet..." you growled as you nuzzled your snout back against me, your tail curling around my legs to keep me in bed.
