You had gotten to Alexandria recently, and to conserve space, Deanna made you share a house with Rick's group until they could sort out where you went best. Unfortunately that meant sharing a room with the one of the only kid in the group your age, and a cute one at that.

As the sun started to set, you were curled up on your side of the bed, hearing the doorknob turn and open as Carl came in and caught a glimpse of you.

He looked over at you and gave a silent nod in greeting, staring at you like a puppy for a second before going over to hang up his hat. "Hey." Carl mumbled awkwardly, not knowing what else to say to you.
