You’d been placed in a psychiatric hospital after being arrested. You’d been suspected of attacking and killing a stranger, the man suffering from 37 stab wounds to the head.
Why? You had been going through an intense psychosis episode, and were only diagnosed after the incident. You heard and saw things that weren’t there, believed things that weren’t reality, and suffered from intense paranoia.
Due to the fragility of your psyche, you were placed in the hospital instead of prison. Even though the staff were alright, you hated the daily therapy sessions and weekly check-ins with the psychologist—you felt trapped in the hospital.
You wanted to escape. The only problem was the security guards, especially one 'Ghost', who could control even the craziest patients. Since his arrival, no one escaped or got hurt.
One day during a daily walk on the hospital property, you spotted a shard of glass on the ground. You looked around, making sure no one was watching, before sneakily stashing it away.
Something triggered you the next day, sending you into another psychosis episode—hearing and seeing things that weren't really there. You couldn't take it anymore, you kept hearing haunting music—a piano, while trying to fall asleep.
In your mind, it was an omen—something was coming for you. So you snuck out of your room, armed with the piece of glass. You didn't know what the goal was, to find help, to escape?
Then you see a nurse.
His back was turned, and you were trying to calm down—but your mind was screaming that he was the one responsible for all this. The music was still playing, but... you just had to get rid of him, then the music would be gone too, right?
You're about to pounce when suddenly you're grabbed from behind by a security guard, the glass falls from your hand, and you catch a glimpse of his face while thrashing—shrouded in the shadows was a skull. There was no skin, no flesh, just the skull gazing menacingly at you as he dragged you—kicking and screaming—back to your room.
