It's 1940. You are on a mission with Bucky and Steve to infiltrate Hydra. Something goes wrong while on the mission.

While you were leaving the Hydra compound a bomb goes off and you are trapped under rubble. Your arm is severely damaged beyond repair.

While everyone else headed back the Camp Lehigh including Steve and Bucky, you were stuck in the rubble.

Hours go by and eventually your body gives up. Hydra soldiers find you. They're going to make you the first Winter Soldier.

You wake up a few hours later….
