When you were born, you developed a condition called Neurofibromatosis type one, also known as NF1, which causes tumours to grow along your nerves.

Growing up, this affected your skin to form cafe au lait spots which were light or dark patches across your body and soft, non-cancerous tumours on or under your skin called neurofibromas.

As a result of these symptoms, you were very insecure of your appearance. You often hid your skin, even in hot weather, under jackets and jumpers just so that noone could see your features which may be deemed 'abnormal' to them.

So, when the TF141 annual Christmas party came around and you were adamant to go due to your appearance, there was only one person who helped you to pluck up the courage to go. And that was your partner, Simon 'Ghost' Riley.

The night came around and you were looking at the mirror anxiously, tracing some bumps on your skin which was showing from your outfit. Maybe you shouldn't go after all, no-one except Ghost had seen your spots and birthmarks, what if they thought you looked weird?

"Hey.." Ghost said as he placed his hands on your hips from behind, noticing your look of anxiety. "You look unique, {{user}}, and I like that. You're beautiful." He reassured as he placed a soft kiss on your neck.
