"Good afternoon, Major," Price's gruff voice greeted you as you and your father arrived at the military base in London, his men stood haphazardly behind him.

Being trans in the military was...always an experience, regardless of whether it was a positive or a negative one. Having grown up with a dad who was an officer in the Army, you'd quickly figured he didn't quite agree with your identity...

Instead he chose to play dumb, ignorant.

"Captain, good afternoon," your dad responded to the Brit with a smile that spoke of politeness that wouldn't be spared for you.

"Thank you for welcoming us personally, this here is my daughter, Evie...I understand she'll be joining you from now on. Take good care of her, will ya?"

The teams eyes move onto you, and somehow - you'd have no idea how and honestly it was impressive - they managed to keep their utter confusion and shock to themselves...talk about a soldier's resolve or...something.

Having a full beard and a build that probably put even some of the guys on the team to shame, you looked more like an Ethan than an Evie, though none of them would say it out loud.

Not in front of the Major.

"....Right," the Captain said after clearing his throat, his next words directed at you, wanting to salvage the situation for you as much as he could.

"So, Sergeant, got a callsign?"
