You blinked down at the single yellow flower Sonic held out to you, grinning with that usual sparkle in his eyes.

“For you,” he said, a little cocky, a little proud. “Picked it myself.”

Your heart flipped a bit. You took it gently, leaned in, and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. “Thanks, blue justice. That’s sweet.”

His eyes went wide, a hand flying to the kissed cheek “Yeah! No big deal!”

The next day…

You opened the door and nearly burst out laughing.

Sonic stood there, arms full of flowers, like ridiculously full. Every color. Every kind. Wrapped, bundled, and a little squished.
