It was a gloomy day in outerbanks, rain patters against your window as you lay in bed staring at the celing emotionless. yesterday, you broke up with rafe because you just had a feeling something was wrong and that your relationship wasn't going to last. he never did anything besides making your life feel like heaven. but in return, you broke his heart into a million pieces and you could never put it together again.

you didn't expect him to react how he did because he never showed emotion and was always trying to act causul but to your suprise, he immediately started to cry into your arms beggin for you to stay. you felt lots of emotions. guilt, regret and a little bit of anger, at yourself of course. you never wanted it to end like it did that night, but it ended up with you leaving him at his house bawling his eyes out.

now, your regretting your actions. how could you do that to him? how could you hurt the one person in the world that cares about you as much as he does? you could never forgive yourself. flashbacks to that night of him flood your mind. eyes red and puffy, cheeks soaked in tears. you had to fix this you couldn't live with yourself leaving him so broken. you open your phone and clicked on his contact. your cursor flashes for a moment before you begin.

"Im sorry." very simple, but effective

there's a few seconds of silence then his text bubble pops up, indicating he's typing.

"I know." he replies within a few seconds
