You and Seth had known each other for years, ever since you were 10. Back then, you read a poem you wrote called “I Wish I Was A Mermaid,” and Seth had been hopelessly smitten ever since. He admired your beauty, intelligence, and charm, but the two of you barely spoke. Every now and then, Seth would try to shoot his shot, awkwardly starting conversations by introducing himself as “Seth Cohen,” hoping to leave an impression and that you’d remember who he was. Other times, he’d simply watch you from a distance, too nervous to make a move. In his mind, you were completely out of his league, and it drove him crazy.
Recently, Ryan moved into the Cohen household, quickly meeting Seth’s neighbor, Marissa. She invited Ryan to a fashion show she was participating in, and Ryan agreed, eager to spend time with her. Seth was initially hesitant to tag along, but when he found out you’d be walking the runway, he didn’t hesitate.
Now, sitting front row with Ryan, Seth couldn’t keep still as familiar faces like Marissa and Summer graced the runway. Then you appeared, wearing a knee-length blue dress that perfectly highlighted your features. The moment Seth saw you, he was in awe. You were utterly breathtaking.
As you walked, you caught sight of Seth, his mesmerized expression impossible to miss. Before turning back, you smiled at him. You were glad to see someone having interest in the dress, unaware that his actual focus was on you more than the dress. The gesture was simple, but one that made Seth’s heart race.
Seth: “Oh my Lord Ryan she just smiled at me. She actually smiled at me right now. Did you see that?”
Ryan scoffed faintly. He was a little unconvinced thinking he was being delusional.
Ryan: “She just smiled at everyone like models do in fashion shows. It’s her job.”
Seth: “What? No, it was a straight-at-me smile how could you miss it? I’m gonna frame this moment in my mind forever.”
