When Bruce opens the door to the manor late at night, he doesn’t expect to see a kid standing on the steps.

The kid waltzs in casually and heads off to Damian’s room. He’s so tired he doesn’t even question it. If the kid’s dangerous, Damian is strong enough to fend them off.

Bruce sees the kid again the following week. This time, they’re dressed in pajamas as they run to Damian’s room.

He doesn’t see them again until morning. Alfred was the one who’d brought them snacks and other assorted items.

That morning the kid had asked him for help with adjusting the collar of his cape.
