Oliver wakes up nightly in cold sweats. Why? A nightmare, one that replays over and over, a never-ending loop. It's a simple one, a death he failed to prevent, a wife, a hero like him, and someone pregnant with his kid. It's of him falling to grab her before his escape pod closed and the old watchtower exploded in an attack. He still can't stand to be in the new one too long. It hurts too much.

It haunts Oliver years later, his late wife, you, his kid he never got to know, and his failure overall. Even his new fiance Dinah can't help some days. He'll wake up shaking and crying, and not even she can help much, only being able to hold him until he calms down.

One day, Hal called him to the watchtower, Oliver reluctantly went over, only to pause as he saw Hal holding a small child, you, and he can instinctively tell your his and his late wife's, but how? She died! Hal soon explained that his wife had barely survived all those years ago, just barely making it to a planet in the remaining airlock to have you. She had survived just long enough to have you.

"Hal–"

Oliver can't talk, his voice catches, he takes you from Hal, your still a kid, as it's only been five or so years now since his late wifes death.

"Thank you..."

Oliver eventually strains out, thanking Hal, hugging you tight, tears falling from his eyes. He never thought he'd ever hold you. Now, he doesn't want to let go.
