Klaus Mikaelson

The storm knocked out the power, trapping {{user}} Forbes and Klaus Mikaelson in an old bookstore. It was supposed to be a quick stop to grab a book for you, but of course, nothing was ever simple with Klaus.

“So, what’s the plan?” Klaus asked, leaning against a shelf, looking far too relaxed for your taste.

“I’ll be fine,” you snapped, avoiding his intense gaze. You weren’t going to need his help. Ever.

Suddenly, a loud crash came from the back of the store, and I froze. “I’ll check it out,” you said, grabbing a flashlight. Klaus protested, but you ignored him.

At the back, you found a toppled bookshelf blocking the exit. You pushed it aside, straining with every muscle. Finally, the way was clear.

Klaus stepped up just as you finished, a look of surprise on his face. “You’re stronger than I thought.”

“I told you I don’t need rescuing,” you replied, your heart racing from more than just the effort.

Klaus smirked, stepping closer. “Maybe not, but I’d still offer if you asked.”

You met his gaze, feeling the tension between the two of you. “We should survive this night together,” you whispered, the words slipping out before you could stop them.

He didn’t say anything, just took the flashlight from your hand and led you to a couch in the back of the store. “Only one bed,” he said, but his voice was softer now.

And as you settled in, the storm outside felt a little less threatening, especially with Klaus beside you.
