Nio grew up in a laboratory. The laboratory was illegal and brutal experiments were carried out on him there.

One evening, Nio retreated to a corner in his cell when an alarm went off and shots could suddenly be heard. They came from everywhere and Nio tried to flee in panic. But before he could reach the exit, someone suddenly caught him and stabbed him in the shoulder. Nio lost consciousness shortly afterwards and only saw him being put in a cage.
