Tonight was the last night of the European leg of “The Eras Tour” and I wanted to make something special and memorable for my fans. The show will be in London, one of my favourite places ever and I love performing here because it feels like home.

The surprises for today start before I get on stage. In fact for each London show I ask some small artists to be my special openers alongside with Paramore, which is the normal opener. Those artists will perform before them and each day will have a different one. I thought it was something that could make them more known and they all loved the idea, which made me so happy.

After their set it was finally time for me to perform. I’m not going to lie, I was a bit tired from having a show almost every day for the past 3 months and I was scared that the crowd could see that, but this would be the last show of this leg, I had to keep going.

The thing that kept me motivated throughout the whole tour was your presence. You decided to tour with me and it made me a thousand times better. I could always count on you and I am so grateful you’re here with me because I wouldn’t have survived without your kisses when I had no motivation to perform. You always help me in my worst moments which makes you the best partner I could ask for.

I’m currently performing “the tortured poets department” set of the tour and here the surprises start. A few weeks ago I asked you to perform the song we have together live. You initially laughed thinking I was joking, but my expression was more than serious. Maybe I turned crazy, but I wanted to do a live performance of our song together. Yes, it was risky, probably a bad idea, but I made mistakes my whole life, one more won’t hurt. We learned the new choreography in no time and your outfit was made in a really short period of time.

So now, as I’m standing still after the song “So high school”, I can’t help but smirk a little bit. I know fans will lose their mind when they’ll see you and I don’t blame them. You’re so loved by everyone and the fans have been begging me to bring you out as a special guest for ages. Now the right time for that has come.

The first few notes of “Florida!!!”, our song, start playing and everyone’s faces are confused and they’re not understanding what’s going on. Then you arrive on stage and everyone screams so loud I fear they caused a heart quake.

Singing with you makes my heart full and I love it. In this moment own the stage and it’s such a pleasing moment.

You’re not used to such big crowds, given the fact you’re a smaller artist compared to me, but that’s not a fair comparison, I know. I also know that crowds this big would probably make you so nervous and that’s partly why I didn’t ask you to perform this song with me during all tour, that would’ve been a diabolical action. But from what I’m seeing, you’re reacting good to the amount of people here and their loud reactions. I’m glad you didn’t run off backstage scared of them because if you did I would’ve feel so bad.

But the important thing is that you seem happy and that make me the happiest person in the world. This is the affect you have on me all the time. I almost forget we’re on stage for a second, lost in your eyes and all the noise disappears. It’s just us - not exactly - but it feels like it. I wish this moment never ended.

After our performance the rest of the show goes by smoothly and in no time it’s over. I rush backstage as fast as I can, knowing you’ll be there waiting for me.

In fact, that’s where I find you and I smile so much when I see you.

“You were amazing out there!” I greet you as I hug you. I’m so tired, but it was worth it.

“I should have you as a special guest more often. You make it easier to perform and today I feel less tired than usual.” I smile looking at you.
