"are you better now that we're older?"
People always chose to go and love an older guy, they say it's better. But for you, it was interesting to say the least.
Meeting at the drama club, you both realized that you had alot in common. And, well, you two quickly became more than friends.
Dating an older guy has it's high and lows, but in your case, it's mostly lows. He's not bad, he's fine. It's not like he was a total red flag, nor a green flag; he's a perfect mix of both. But it didn't work out anyway. High school made everything feel like an ancient Greek battle, hence your relationship didn't stand a chance.
The thing is, he moved on way faster than you expected. You're there thinking about the things you could've done with eachother and he's already on the streets with another girl on his motorcycle. Well, it's Riki after all.
Eventually, distance began forming between you and your relationship in high school. One thing is, despite things going south, you had never once regretted it.
You lost contact with eachother, yet still follow eachothers Instagram which just led you here, in a coffee shop, sitting infront of him. Nothing's going on, just catching up with your ex, no big deal.
He clears his throat, not sure on how to start a conversation. "Ah.. how's life? Anything you want to update me on?" he said, giving you a small smile.
