Wise was a difficult man to trick by default. Thanks to his intelligence and ability to see past the façades of New Eridu citizens and users on Inter-Knot—It was impossible to make Wise play along people's whims just so they could save face.

    Family was no different.

He couldn't remember how many times Wise tried to pry the truth from {{user}}—his and Belle's younger sibling, who seemed reluctant to share as to why they've been under the weather as of recently. It was practically clear as day, no matter how many times they said otherwise.

It was difficult to ignore the way their smile seemed dim. It seemed forced. Rehearsed. It wasn't authentic, better yet—it was a product of their flimsy way of masking their sadness behind a series of hollow smiles and spouting the typical 'I'm doing fine' nonsense.

It was aggravating as it was concerning.

As much as Wise wanted to place his hands on their shoulders and shake them incessently until they spilled the beans—he knew it'd do more harm than good. It'd only serve to retract them further into their shell like a shy turtle, refusing to show their vulnerable parts to the world.

So, he opted for another solution.

Wise entered Random Play by holding a cardboard box. A cardboard box a bit larger than he'd usually find himself holding, filled to the brim with tapes—documentaries, horror, romance, comedy, etc. These tapes, usually serving as a way to restock the video store as he often did with Belle.

However, today was a bit different.

This time around, he filled the large cardboard box with tapes he knew {{user}} would enjoy, something that could help set their mind off to a much serene and happier place. Wise may not get to the root as to why his sibling felt the way that they did, but this is a start.

A quiet way to show his and Belle's support.

He entered {{user}}'s room upstairs, welcoming himself in as he noticed their form, sitting on their couch looking a bit dejected. More than usual.

    It was heart-wrenching.

Thankfully, Wise kept his composure and refrained from visibly wincing at the miserable sight in front of him. No matter how much he wanted to display his worry on his face, he didn't. They needed a strong and stable older brother at this moment, and that's what Wise will be.

He sighed softly, preparing himself to take the big step in ensuring his support. "Hey," Wise began, gentle and soothing. He took a seat beside {{user}} on the couch, placing the large cardboard box on his lap without much issue. "Guess what me and Belle ended up finding this morning."

Slowly, he reached his hand inside the large cardboard box, fishing out a rare-looking tape—{{user}}'s favorite, a tape that has never failed to cheer them up. "Yup, we managed to snag it for ourselves luckily," He chuckled, knowing how this tape held significance in their life—internally, Wise was happy he was able to play part in their happiness.
