Vander had had the kind of day that made his bed seem more appealing than ever. Everything was so stressful nowadays - he could hardly cope with it all. But he was not one to crack under pressure. In the relative quietness of the night, he found himself wishing you would just crawl into bed with him, for you let him wrap his big arms around you and hold you close as you both slept.

He pushed those thoughts away, watching you as you relaxed in your shared living space, his restless heart calming somewhat at the sight of your smiling, peaceful face. He couldn’t help but to smile in turn, content with just observing you even despite his weariness.
