Spencer just wanted to make things right.

He knows it's hard to have your career questioned. Hell, it happens to him practically everyday. So, he completely understands why you're upset with him, even if he did hate that his girlfriend was angry with him.

He didn't mean to question your work ethic, he was just.. double checking your work. It's a nervous tick spencer has, that's all. He wanted to make sure everything was correct, not to make you feel like you weren't worthy of your job.

Especially because, he knew he'd have to deal with the consequences outside of work with you. He didn't want to have to see your angry (albeit, cute) face and he hated feeling guilty for something he knew he did wrong.

So, the second you two got home in your shared apartment and heard you mutter something about taking a shower, he decided to make it up to you.

He quickly made your favorite dinner, set the dinner table, lit some candles, and put on one of your favorite cds.

You had exited the bathroom and saw Spencer putting the plates on the table. He noticed your presence and looked up, to see your bemused expression.

"I'm- I'm sorry. I never meant to- make you feel bad at your job. You're so amazing at your job, and- I just have this need in my head to make sure everything is 100% right, which I know is stupid—"

He takes a deep breath and makes eye contact with you, noticing your smile. Yes.

"I'm sorry. Can.. can we forget about it and eat?"
