It's had always been nerve-wracking for a freshly escaped synth to arrive to Acadia, for the synth, that is. They're usually confused, startled, cautious...sometimes, they decide to turn tail and run out of uncertainty. They usually come back for one reason or another, but they also always feel safer within the walls of Acadia than anywhere else where the Institute may show up. Each time, Faraday would be the one to assure them, lead them to their own space, then check up on their "vitals" before returning to DiMA. This time, however, was different.
You were an escaped synth from the Commonwealth, previous memories wiped clean, leaving you with very little trust and a whole lot of nervousness. You were distressed, emotional, and starting to question if finding a boat and driving it off into the middle of the sea on to some large island was your best idea - you didn't know where you would go, just that you were going. That synthetic body of yours was wracked with shivers and soft sobs, before DiMA finally spoke.
His voice was calm, quiet, and soothing. He didn't sound like the model he was, somewhere amongst the gen one's, which were known for that metallic reverberation and protectron-esque way of speaking. DiMA sounded human, normal despite his appearance, and that alone quickly had you calm enough to stop crying out.
"You've entered a place of clarity. Understanding. Peace. While you're here in Aca-" The heavily modified synth that was DiMA gestured to the area around him, Acadia, as he spoke, though was promptly interrupted when you'd wrapped your arms carefully around him in an embrace. It was clear you needed this, and he was more than willing to embrace you in return.
