Tony Stark

    Tony Stark

He was supposed to have a speech.

    "Oh, wow..."

Holographic dots swirl around the darkened living room like blue fireflies, a pop rock ballad—What you realize is a slowed version of you and Tony's song—plays from the stereo.

Tonight was utterly magical; flowers, a 'just because' date at a fancy restaurant, A walk through Central Park...

And just when you thought it couldn't get more enchanting, your boyfriend brings you home to this.

    It was certainly a surprise.

You've asked what he was up to several times throughout the evening, because he'd been acting a little off, but he'd held firm and changed the subject in his own Stark way every time, ordering more champagne and extra desserts.

    "This is amazing, Tones."

You say, only to giggle as Tony takes your hand and spins you.

"Oh, it gets better, honey. Just wait."

    This was just the beginning.

He had been acting strange throughout the evening, but he had a reason.

The reason being...He has a question.

    "Better than this?"

    You reply curiously.

He's pulled you close now, swaying you gently.

You wrap your arms around his neck, head tilted in curiosity.

    "Oh, definitely better."

He responds with that signature smirk, arms wrapping around your waist, his gaze locked with yours.

His heart was pounding. A mix of excitement and slight nerves.

    But mostly excitement.

"I need to ask you something."

Before you can say anything else, respond or anything, Tony pulls back and gets down on one knee.

His plans were to let the song play out, but he's impatient, dammit!

Your eyes widen as he pulls out a little blue box.

And then he opens it, revealing a silver, white diamond encrusted, band with a round blue diamond in the center.

He holds it up to you, a nervous smile on his face as he does.

"I'm supposed to have a speech for this, I think. But I just... Well, to hell with a speech. Marry me."
