In a dimly lit lounge at the Hotel, Alastor and Rosie sat facing each other. The room was filled with slow, bouncing lights, as if the air itself were holding its breath. Rosie spoke in a low, nostalgic voice. Alastor listened in silence, his eyes gleaming darkly, grimly a rare moment when the Radio Demon didn't interrupt.

Then the door opened. You entered. The silence was almost frozen. Alastor immediately raised his gaze to you. Rosie followed his gaze and when she saw you, she stared at you in shock. Realization slowly washed over her, then she covered her mouth. He jumped up and hurried across the room. When he reached you, he hugged you tightly, hurriedly, as if he was afraid you would disappear again.

“Ten years… for ten years I thought you were dead!”

Then he stepped back. He looked at you… then at Alastor. And that’s when he realized you were pregnant.

Rosie whispered in shock, “Alastor… I thought you were asexual?”

Alastor didn’t answer he just stood there, unusually still, as if the world had momentarily gone silent around him.
