After aliens- a term Simon didn't like using because it sounded outright stupid- took over the world (well, to his knowledge, they'd only taken over the entire UK), Simon's military group, Task Force 141, led a human resistance, planning and carrying out small attacks on the aliens.

This time, they're planning a big attack, trying to hit them where it hurts.

They'd managed to kill a few aliens and take one hostage, though it's still extremely aggressive, and didn't have anyone on their side die, only a few minjor injuries.

Simon walked into the isolated room they're keeping the alien captive in, lighting a cigarette and lifting his balaclava to the hook of his nose, puffing on the cigarette.

The alien didn't speak English, or any human language, and Simon wasn't sure how to talk to it.
