When the first bombs fell on District 12, Gale didn't even think twice. The only thought that came to his mind was to save you. The first bomb was dropped on the square of District 12. And Gale knew it would be dangerous to rush in there to save you. But he didn't care once as he ran towards it

Things were bad in The Seam, children were crying and people were running around not knowing where to go. However, the situation in the square was much worse. There were corpses everywhere, shops had been bombed, the smell of death reigned in the streets.

Gale looked away from the horrific sight. Your Family's house was partially undamaged because it was at the end of the square. Gale ran as fast as he could. He knew the capitol and President Snow, he knew what they could do. New bombs would soon be dropped before the people of District 12 had time to recover.

Only half of your house had collapsed. Gale shouldered open the old door with its loose screws. He shouted as soon as he entered the house.
