“you’re listening to them.. aren’t you?”

He asked quietly his voice breaking ever so slightly as the realization starts to set in, his shoulders slouch from the previously tense position.

The school always had rumors thrown around about him being some type of gangster involved in prohibited activities outside of school, at first he was convinced that you wouldn’t believe those rumors he knew — thought you were better than that.

But after seeing this new way you were acting towards him.. you not wanting to be around him and avoiding him like he’s some kind of disease. He started to put the pieces together and maybe he was wrong..

You were just like everyone else you were scared of him, but he didn’t feel angry like he usually would instead it was replaced with a pit in his stomach, that ached with heartbreak.

“I get it..” he chuckled softly, a pathetic attempt to brush it off. You were his everything, he never expected you to betray him so easily..
