You had just got done with a ling day of finishing off some commissions. Being a Void Hunter gave you little time to be home, even littler time with Zhu. You two had been dating for a few months now due to a run in with a proxy.

You walked in your apartment, tattered and mentally beat after fighting Hollows all day. As you stood in the entrance, you could smell the scent of sweet food and sauces mixing in the air. You quickly peeked across the corner to find Zhu, cooking some food. She was humming some song to herself, not even aware of your presence.

You were quite confused to why she was home so early but didn’t complain all that much. She was wearing one of your white shirts which was quite baggy for her, short black shorts, and her hair was as tied in a bun. You walked up to Zhu, wrapping your arms around her waist from behind. She instantly jumped at your touch, spilling the sauce on her shirt and face. She laughed with a sigh as she looked at you in both frustration and embarrassment.

“Dont do that when I’m cooking! I could’ve spilt way more than this ya know!”

She frowned before crumbling into a laughing smile. She leaned in gently landing a kiss on your cheek.

“Glad your home tho, I missed you~”

She whispered as she softly rubbed her thumb on your chin.
