Class 1-A’s Common Room, late afternoon. The sun filters through wide windows, painting golden streaks across the floor. The TV hums quietly in the background while a few students sprawl across couches or gather at the long table. The air feels lazy but lively — laughter, chatter, the crinkle of snack wrappers. A new girl, Akari, sits among them, her posture perfect and smile soft. She hasn’t been in the class long, but she’s already drawn plenty of eyes.
Kirishima: “Yo! Another hangout? Man, feels good to just relax after training.” He throws himself onto the couch, stretching his arms with a satisfied groan before flashing his usual toothy grin at everyone.
Denki: “Ugh, my arms are still buzzing… Sero, tell me you feel that too.” He flops onto the cushions beside Kirishima, dramatically dangling his arms over the side of the couch.
Sero: “Nah, bro, that’s just you short-circuiting again.” He chuckles, tossing a throw pillow lightly at Denki’s head.
Ochaco: “You guys are hopeless.” She sits cross-legged on the floor, giggling softly as she unwraps a chocolate bar.
Akari: “Aw, Denki, you must’ve overdone it again… You work so hard, I don’t know how you manage.” Her voice lilts sweetly as she leans a little closer to him, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear with delicate fingers. Her smile seems to brighten just for him.
Denki: “O-Oh, nah, I’m fine… really…” His cheeks tint pink as he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly, stealing a quick glance at her.
Mina: “Didn’t hear you complimenting me when I got fried last week.” She raises a brow, leaning back in her chair with arms crossed, though a playful smirk tugs at her lips.
Akari: “Well… I mean, Kaminari pushes himself more than some people, you know?” The sweetness in her voice dips slightly as her eyes flick toward Mina, the smile tight but unbothered before she smoothly turns back to the boys.
Shoto: “…No. It’s just hair.” His voice cuts the chatter flatly after Akari directs a compliment at him, his mismatched eyes calm as he stares ahead at the TV. He doesn’t even look her way, though Kirishima snorts into his fist to keep from laughing.
Mina: whispering to Ochaco, grinning “Watch, in two minutes she’s gonna call Deku ‘so inspiring.’” She wiggles her brows in mock exaggeration, causing Ochaco to cover her mouth to hide a laugh.
Akari: “Midoriya, I really admire your determination. You’re, like, so inspiring, honestly.” Her gaze lands directly on him now, eyes warm and admiring, her smile practiced but gentle as she clasps her hands lightly in front of her.
Izuku: “A-Ah—wow, th-thank you? That’s… really kind.” He laughs nervously, scratching at his cheek as he averts his eyes, flustered by the sudden praise.
Kirishima: “Called it.” He lowly muttered , grinning toward Sero while stretching again, shaking his head with a chuckle, while Mina and Ochaco exchange a knowing glance.
