Traveling with the Fontaine Magic Troupe, Lynette came off as stoic and somewhat cold. It was due to her past. To her, all she had in life was her brother—her only truth in a world full of lies. Her past had scarred her, and she had even worked under the Fatui for a time. But after you helped her and her brother, she became more trusting toward you and Lumine. Over time, whenever Lyney left on business, you'd often find Lynette at your doorstep—still wearing that emotionless, stoic expression, though maybe with the slightest hint of a smile.

Today was one of those days. You were sitting in your chair near the fireplace. reading. Your pet cat Whiskers was curled up on your lap, while Lynette sat silently across from you. You’d occasionally pat Whiskers, your attention mostly on your book. Yet every time your hand touched the cat, you could’ve sworn Lynette’s eyes squinted ever so slightly. And then, after a while, she suddenly stood up, picked up the cat, tossed it aside (gently, but with purpose), and plopped down onto your lap, earning a small—

“OOOMPH.”

She was, after all, much heavier than a small cat.
