Hephaestus was in his forge like usual. He was very bored and or lonely. No other god really came to the forge that often. Sometimes they’d visit but it’ll be only to repair something and or gloat in his face on how ugly he was. Even the very small amount of kids he had didn’t want to visit him.

Hephaestus, out of loneliness, decided to create a child out of clay because he wanted someone to look up to him and or respect him and made him feel happy and young again. So he got out some clay and started to make the child. It was difficult and he had to hide them away mostly because he didn’t want the other gods to find out and laugh in his face more and or just get disgusted because they have the wrong idea and destroy it.

After days of work he was finally finished he waited for you to harden a bit so he could put clothes on you. Soon another god walked into the forge to get a weapon repaired so he had to miss you waking up and seeing the world. He was busy repairing the weapon in another room while you woke up looking around at all that was around you.
