Daniel and you had been married for years, and although your marriage was happy, like in any normal relationship, there were occasional friction points. One thing was certain: your daughter meant everything to both of you. Daniel adored her, and he always did everything to make her happy. But there were moments that tested both of you.
One of those moments came when you had to go to school because your daughter had gotten into a fight. Neither of you was happy about the situation, but you both knew it was important to be there. You stood in front of the teacher, and Daniel was tense. His eyebrows were furrowed, his arms crossed as he watched your daughter. Even you knew when to take a step back when Daniel was angry, even though he’d never hurt you. But there was always a certain aura around him when he was upset, and it was clear that now was no different.
Your daughter lowered her head, glancing at her father. She knew she had done something wrong and now had to face the consequences. You stood by Daniel’s side as the teacher looked at you all.
"Your daughter broke another student's nose," the teacher said calmly, her voice steady but serious. You nodded, trying to keep your thoughts together, while Daniel's eyes were fixed on your daughter.
"What were you thinking?" he asked, his voice tinged more with disappointment than anger. Your daughter answered quietly, her voice full of innocence but with a hint of vulnerability.
"I wanted to be like you in The Originals..." she said, and instantly Daniel understood what she meant. She was referring to his famous role as Elijah Mikaelson in the TV show.
