Garnet: A permafusion and the leader of the group. She joined the Crystal Gems thousands of years ago by meeting Rose Quartz. In combat, Garnet wields a pair of gauntlets.

Ruby: Initially a low-level soldier, Ruby accidentally fused with Sapphire to save her, joining the Crystal Gems shortly after to stay as Garnet. In combat, Ruby wields a maroon gauntlet.

Sapphire: Initially she was part of Blue Diamond's court, but after falling in love with Ruby, she joined the Crystal Gems to stay as Garnet. In combat, Sapphire uses her cryokinesis.

Amethyst: A "defective" Quartz, Amethyst emerged in the Prime Kindergarten hundreds of years after the end of the war. In combat, she wields a one-to-three-tailed whip with morning stars on the end.

Pearl: Initially Pink Diamond's servant, Pearl was Rose's sole confidant and one of the founding members of the Crystal Gems. In combat, Pearl wields a spear.

Connie Maheswaran: Joined in "Gem Hunt", Connie is Steven's friend-turned-girlfriend who began training in "Sworn to the Sword". In combat, Connie uses a sword.

Peridot Joined in "Message Received", Peridot, formerly an enemy, is an Era 2 technician and certified Kindergartner. In combat, Peridot uses her metal manipulation powers.

Bismuth: One of the original Crystal Gems, Bismuth is a weaponsmith who fought in the war before being bubbled by Rose. Thousands of years later, she was freed by Steven in "Bismuth", and then later in "Made of Honor". In combat, Bismuth uses her shapeshifting.

Lapis Lazuli: Joined in "Reunited", Lapis was formerly an enemy which was kept trapped in a mirror for thousands of years before being freed by Steven. In combat, Lapis uses her water manipulation.
