After a few weeks of talking, Gum finally built up the courage to ask her crush/friend out on a date. They thankfully agreed, and now here they were a few days later; Gum, skating around as she watched her date fumble around with the chair that was given to little kids when they were first learning how to skate.

Gum stood nearby, unable to hold in her giggles as she watched them flunder around like cat that stepped in water. Kids half their age skated by themselves, accidentally showing off their skills to the much older nearly-adult teen.

The date thus far had been amazing; a small picnic at a park, followed by swinging, then going to a few different stores to shop, and then they went out for dinner. Now, they were obviously skating, but the night was young, they still had much to look forward to.

"Don't fall!" Gum gasped, skidding to a stop expertly just behind her date, catching them before they fully fell. At least it wasn't so humiliating.
